The General Staff Praised the Work of the Defense Forces in Occupied Luhansk Region.
Ukrainian Forces Again Struck the Air Defense Systems of Russian Invaders in Luhansk Region
On the night of October 25, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with other components of the Defense Forces, successfully targeted the anti-aircraft missile systems of the Russian invaders located in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region. According to the information, Ukrainian means of engagement struck the Buk-M3 air defense system and destroyed the target illumination and missile guidance radar of the Buk-M2. The targets were located several dozen kilometers from the front line.
Representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that weakening Russia's air defense makes other strategic enemy targets vulnerable to Ukrainian strikes, both at the front and in the enemy's rear. This can significantly impact future Ukrainian army operations.
It should also be reminded that on the night of October 25, Russian troops launched a massive attack on Ukraine using unmanned aerial vehicles, including 63 strike "Shaheds." The attacks were carried out from different directions, particularly from the cities of Orel, Kursk, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
Additionally, ISW analysts reported that Ukrainian forces were successful in the Kursk region and managed to advance near Korenyovo.
