Counteroffensive in Sumy region. General Staff confirms the liberation of Andriivka.

The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue their defensive operation in the Northern Slobozhansky direction and effectively destroy the enemy, which does not cease attempts to storm positions in the Sumy region. This is reported by

According to the General Staff, in June 2025 the total losses of the occupiers in the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions amounted to about 9310 servicemen, of which irretrievable losses are over 4470, sanitary losses are about 4800, captives are 42 individuals. Also, a number of military equipment of the Russians was destroyed during the month.

Successful actions of the Ukrainian troops

The General Staff emphasized that the Ukrainian forces are holding the defense at the designated line, conducting preparations and carrying out a counteroffensive to drive the enemy out. Thus, it has been possible to liberate the settlement of Andriivka. In addition, the troops advanced in the area of Oleksiivka, pushing the Russians further away from Sumy.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyy, reported that the advance of Russian troops in the border area of Sumy region was halted, and the line of combat confrontation has stabilized. In the designated areas, our units are successfully using the tactic of active defense and liberating Ukrainian land in the outskirts of Sumy region.
