General Staff: 105 combat clashes already occurred on the front in the past day.
Intense fighting on the front: Ukrainian Armed Forces faced 105 attacks from Russian invaders
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of 16:00 on September 2, 2024, intense fighting continues on the front. Over the past day, 105 attacks by Russian invaders were recorded.
The enemy shelled several populated areas in Slobozhanshchyna with artillery and mortars, specifically Slavhorod, Oleksandrivka, and Bachivsk. There were also enemy airstrikes on Hlukhiv, Bilopillia, and Zarutske.
Four combat clashes were recorded in the Kharkiv direction, in particular near Vovchansk. In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Synkivka, Petropavlivka, and other populated areas, resulting in 13 battles.
The fiercest battles continue in the Lyman, Siversk, and Kramatorsk directions. In the Toretsk direction, the enemy tried to displace Ukrainian units from positions near Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, and other populated areas.
The situation is especially tense in the Pokrovsk direction, where the enemy conducted 29 assault actions. Ukrainian defenders repelled 18 attacks, and 11 battles are still ongoing. Additionally, 16 enemy attacks were recorded in the Kurakhiv direction, and 15 in the Vremiv direction.
The enemy did not conduct offensive actions in the Orikhiv direction but carried out airstrikes in the areas of Novoandriivka and Mala Tokmachka.
The situation on the front remains tense but manageable. Ukrainian military continues to restrain the invaders' pressure and inflict losses on them.
