Heraskevych dedicated his historic success to the fallen defender of Azovstal.


Ukrainian skeletonist Vladyslav Heraskevych expressed his support and gratitude to defender Nazariy Hryntsevych, to whom he dedicated his performance at the world championship. Heraskevych stated that Hryntsevych was one of the best sons of Ukraine who dedicated his life to defending the country. He urged people to remember such heroes and spread their memory. Heraskevych also called on everyone to love their mother, eat porridge, and love Ukraine.
After his performance, Heraskevych raised the Ukrainian flag and quoted Hryntsevych's words:
«No matter what happens, love your mother, eat porridge, love Ukraine!»
Ukrainian skeletonists Vladyslav Heraskevych and Yaroslav Lavreniuk represented the country for the first Time at the world skeleton championship. Both athletes achieved personal records at the tournament.
On the first day of the competition, Heraskevych finished in second place, 1.48 seconds behind the leader after two runs. Lavreniuk had the 21st time midway through the competition and could qualify for the fourth run.
In the third run, Heraskevych recorded the fourth best time among all participants with a time of 53.38 seconds and moved up to seventh position. Lavreniuk also set a new personal record in the third run - 54.33 seconds.
In the final run, Heraskevych finished with a time of 53.61 seconds and placed fourth. Lavreniuk also improved his result, showing 54.26 seconds and moving up from 21st place.
Heraskevych was pleased with the results and emphasized that this championship is his best finish in the overall World Cup standings.
