Price has won several tournaments, including the Poland Darts Masters and the Baltic Sea Darts Open.
However, he was unable to participate in the draw for the Players Championship, causing confusion among his fans.
Jeffrey de Graaf won the first final on Monday, and Stephen Bunting triumphed on Tuesday, earning £15,000.
Despite everything, Price tried to reassure fans and posted a photo from the hospital, where his right arm looks red and swollen.
“Just what I didn’t want, back to the hospital it is.”
He also shared a picture where he is sitting with an IV, adding:
“Not a bed in sight.”
Price has a history of arm injuries: in 2022 he had to withdraw from a Premier League night due to a fracture.
While he has not confirmed if this is a similar injury, fans are wondering if he will be able to participate in upcoming tournaments.
Among the scheduled competitions are the World Series Finals, Czech Darts Open, and Flanders Darts Trophy, and recovery time after a fracture can take from three to eight weeks.
Gerwyn Price, known for his successes on the darts stage, is unlikely to miss the opportunity to compete. But his health comes first. Fans hope for the athlete's quick recovery and will be waiting for his return to the game.
In the meantime, the world of darts continues to live at its usual pace, with new winners and competitions filled with excitement and intrigue.
