According to the Lithuanian National Radio and Television LRT.lt, Google has removed 201 Russian websites from its search service that were placed on the EU sanctions list.

This measure was taken after a request from the Lithuanian Commission for Radio and Television (LRTB) to Google.

If a user tries to access the blocked website by entering the address in the Google search bar, the website will not appear in the results

This is not the first Time that LRTB has collaborated with Google. Previously, the company had already removed websites at the request of LRTB due to copyright violations.

On December 18, the commission decided to block websites that broadcast Russian television programs that fall under EU sanctions.

We also remind that Telegram channels of several Russian propaganda media have been blocked for users in Europe as they spread Russian propaganda and have hostile attitudes towards Ukraine.

The Council of the EU has also decided to ban the broadcasting of four media outlets that spread Russian propaganda in the European Union: Voice of Europe, “RIA Novosti”, “Izvestia”, and “Rossijskaja gazeta”.

In Moldova, the messenger Telegram has also blocked the channels of the fleeing oligarch Ilan Shor and his accomplices.

In addition, several official Ukrainian chatbots, including the “Main Intelligence Service Bot”, have also been blocked by Telegram.
