In August 2025, the UNHCR Ukraine organization opened registrations for financial assistance for vulnerable groups in another city. This involves providing a monthly payment of 3.6 thousand UAH per person for a three-month period.This was reported by the organization's representatives on Telegram.
UNHCR Ukraine program conditions in August
This refers to the implementation of a cash assistance program to support internally displaced persons (IDPs) and other individuals affected by the war. Registration is currently open in the city of Krolovets, Sumy region.Due to limited financial resources, payments will only be provided to those citizens who genuinely need assistance. Specifically:- IDPs who have not participated in similar programs from Ukrainian or foreign organizations within the last three months and have relocated no more than six months ago;- IDPs who returned from another region after forced departure within the last six months and also have not received payments from charities in the past three months;- Refugees who returned to their former place of residence from abroad and also have not received financial support from Ukrainian or foreign organizations in the past three months.Additionally, financial assistance will be available to applicants belonging to the following vulnerable categories:- Families with low incomes not reaching 5.4 thousand UAH per citizen per month;- Single-parent families with minors, elderly persons over 55 years old;- Households with elderly citizens, or if they are raising minors by themselves;- Families where there are citizens with diagnosed severe illnesses/disabilities.Amount of financial assistance and how to register
According to the conditions of the UNHCR Ukraine program, each applicant with low income will receive 10.8 thousand UAH in financial assistance. The amount of assistance was determined based on the minimum consumer basket, which is 3.6 thousand UAH per person. The payment will cover a three-month period; however, it will be sent to accounts in one tranche.To register in the electronic queue for Thursday, August 7, 2025, in Krolovets (Krolovetska TG) for financial assistance, you can only call the data collection point in advance. If the applicant meets the criteria, they will be given the corresponding number in the queue.After that, a call will come from the staff of the data collection point for financial assistance from the organization. Citizens will be informed of the time they need to come for an individual appointment at 2 Peace Avenue (Cultural Center).'To register for an appointment with mobile groups for registration in the cash assistance program, you can call the data collection point in Sumy at 063 182 68 382',it says in the message.Earlier, we wrote that Ukrainians can receive up to 5 thousand dollars from the Estonian Refugee Council in Ukraine and from the non-governmental organization ASB for financial support in one of the cities for displaced persons with disabilities.To support vulnerable groups of the population, the UNHCR Ukraine organization is launching a financial assistance program to support internally displaced persons and other affected individuals in the city of Krolovets, Sumy region. The program conditions and the list of vulnerability categories will allow targeting the most needy citizens.
