Cash Assistance from UNHCR - Who Will Receive It in July.
In July 2025, financial assistance from UNHCR can be received in one of the cities of Sumy region. This applies to internally displaced citizens and refugees who are suffering from shelling. This was reported by the UNHCR representative office on Telegram.
Financial assistance is provided for two categories of the population in the city of Okhtyrka in Sumy region. These are citizens with IDP status and Ukrainians who have returned home after moving abroad. One of the conditions is the absence of similar assistance from other organizations for three months.
It is also necessary to meet vulnerability criteria, namely having a single-parent family with young children or elderly people, being an elderly person with young children, or having family members with special needs.
How to Register for Payments and the Amount of Assistance
Registration for appointments and registration in the city of Okhtyrka on July 22, 2025, is possible by calling: 063 182 68 38. You need to have original documents for each family member, including a passport, tax number, IDP certificate, applicant's bank card, children's birth certificates, guardianship documents, medical certificates, and others.
The amount of assistance per family member will be UAH 10.8 thousand for a three-month period. There are also other opportunities for financial assistance from the Ukrainian Red Cross and participation in a grant program for business support from the government of Denmark.
