Hackers attacked defense enterprises of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian team CERT-UA, responsible for responding to cyberattacks, has recorded new attacks on defense enterprises and security forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the agency.
According to reports, the attack began with phishing emails disguised as official messages from the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
They talked about an invitation to a conference that took place on December 5 in Kyiv and was dedicated to the transition of domestic defense-industrial enterprises to NATO standards.
The letter contained a hyperlink 'The attachment contains important information for your participation.' Clicking on this link and opening the attached files could lead to infection of the computer.
According to data from the State Special Communications, the attack is attributed to the group UAC-0185, which has been actively operating since at least 2022. This group specializes in stealing credentials from the Signal, Telegram, WhatsApp messengers, as well as military systems Delta, Tenet, and Kropyva.
Less frequently, the group carries out cyberattacks for unauthorized access to the computers of employees of defense enterprises and representatives of security and defense forces.
Reminder: Russian hackers seized Ukrainian TV channels
Thus, using television channels, video recordings of Ukrainian cemeteries and the operation of the defense-industrial complex on the streets of cities were broadcast. There was also discrediting of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Earlier, cyber specialists of the HUR carried out an attack on Russian banks that illegally operate in Crimea.
