According to The Sun: The footballer sustained a serious injury and had to undergo an emergency spleen removal surgery after a terrible collision. Iker Fernandez Valderrama was left on the field, suffering in pain, after colliding with the opponent's goal near the halfway line.
The 23-year-old futsal player managed to briefly get up, holding his left side, but soon fell again. Doctors urgently transported him to the hospital, where the necessary surgical procedure was performed.
“This was a very tough moment for both him and us. We all hope for his speedy recovery,” said the team's coach.
