The Kooks' New Tour

According to The Sun: Guitar music is in vogue again, and The Kooks' frontman, Luke Pritchard, is very happy about it.

Twenty years after their debut, the band is preparing for the biggest tour of their career. It kicks off on Friday at Manchester’s Co-op Live and includes a concert at London’s O2 Arena on October 11.

Luke believes that the industry has finally started to appreciate real instruments after years of dominance by synthesizers and drum machines.

In an exclusive interview, he noted:

“I feel very grateful, almost honored. I feel that we are part of this. Watching Oasis this year was incredible, and rock ‘n’ roll is coming back, and guitar music is back in the zeitgeist.”

Luke also shared that he often meets young musicians who mention him:

“That is the most for me as a songwriter, a musician.”

At the Reading festival, his band reached a new audience, including young fans who were not born when hits like She Moves In Her Own Way first played.

The band recently released the album Never/Know, but is already working on a new project. Luke said:

“I started working again. I will probably dive into memories from my 20s and early 30s.”
