According to The Sun: Famous 90s singer, Sonique, announced the cancellation of her only tour in the UK. The star, who won a Brit award and made her mark in the group S’Express, shared this news on her Instagram stories.

Announcement of Tour Cancellation

The 54-year-old singer wrote:

“I am very upset to announce that due to circumstances beyond my control, my upcoming tour has been canceled. I am very disappointed, but I hope to announce new dates not too late.”
“My sincere apologies to everyone who purchased tickets. Tickets can be refunded at the point of purchase.”

The tour was planned to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her debut album “Hear Me Cry” and was set to start on October 3 in Boiler Shop in Newcastle and conclude on November 1 in CHALK in Brighton. The cities included in the route were supposed to be Manchester, Bristol, Norfolk, Birmingham, Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and London.

Recalling Sonique's Achievements

In 2001, she won the Brit Award for Best British Female Solo Artist. Her last album “Sweet Vibrations” was released in 2011. Sonique also mentioned her mother, who predicted the success of her song “It Feels So Good”:

“My mother felt it. I wanted to record a track that you could dance to while also relaxing, and I think it really does that.”
“My mother said it would be a hit, and I laughed at her then.”
