Invictus Games. Ukrainians win first medals, but there is a nuance with a hint of scandal.

The Ukrainian team 'Neskorenі 3' won bronze in wheelchair basketball at the Invictus Games
The Ukrainian wheelchair basketball team 'Neskorenі 3' brought home a bronze medal from the Invictus Games. These competitions are characterized by the formation of mixed teams from athletes of different countries, allowing national teams that do not have enough players for a full team to still participate in team sports.
This year, the backbone of the 'Neskorenі 3' team consisted of players from Canada, Great Britain, and the USA, as well as two Ukrainians - Artur Milin and Illia Pylypenko. The team was placed in Group C along with the national teams of Great Britain, Colombia, and Ukraine. The decisive match for our team was against the Ukrainian national team, where the winners would earn tickets to the semifinals.
Unfortunately, our team lost this match with a score of 10:4. Additionally, the second match did not go in favor of the Ukrainian team. The players struggled to break free from the opponent's pressure and crumbled. Some players also did not get a chance to play, despite the fact that the coach did not utilize all available substitutions. All of this led to disappointment among players and coaches.
However, Illia Pylypenko, who lacked a spot on the main team, managed to score 7 points for his team in the tournament. He showcased his skills and earned a bronze medal with the 'Neskorenі 3' team.
Congratulations to Illia Pylypenko and Artur Milin on their well-deserved victory at the Invictus Games!
Let's remember that the Ukrainian team started the competition with a victory over Colombia, with a score of 12:6. For more details, read here.
