I’m a Man Utd icon, people keep asking ‘what about your keeper?’ – Andre Onana situation is a shambles, he’s not a No1.
According to The Sun: Manchester United legend Paul Parker claims that Andre Onana 'is not even a goalkeeper.'
The former England defender expresses concern over the situation in the team and constantly hears questions about the 'shambles' at the goalkeeper position.
Andre Onana had a tough evening in the match against Grimsby28-year-old Onana faced criticism after a humiliating defeat in the Carabao Cup match against Grimsby on Wednesday evening.
“This is becoming a real shambles! When I go out on the street, the first thing people always say is, 'what about your keeper?'”
“The problem is he’s not a goalkeeper. He just isn’t a goalkeeper, that’s all there is to it! It’s absolutely clear that Manchester United needs a goalkeeper.”
Onana conceded two goals he could not react to, and 'failed' during the penalty shootout, saving only one out of thirteen shots.
This was his first start of the season, as his predecessor Altai Bayindir also had a rough match at the start of the season.

He has heard about the potential transfer of Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens but doubts his abilities.
“I don’t really care if he’s the best passer in the world. I only care about whether he reliably stops shots.”
Manchester United are also linked with a possible return of Premier League legend David De Gea, who left the club in 2023, but Parker does not believe this is likely.
“I would be surprised if he came back, as he knows he would have a huge burden awaiting him.”
The situation with the Manchester United goalkeeper is generating discussion among fans and experts. It is clear that the team needs stability in this position, as success in matches largely depends on the reliability of the goalkeeper. It remains to be seen whether changes in the team’s lineup will occur to address this important issue.
