According to The Sun: Mark Allen, who is preparing to defend his championship title in the Christmas snooker season, expressed his dissatisfaction with the atmosphere at the competitions in Saudi Arabia. The Northern Irish athlete will face his quarter-final match tomorrow, where his opponents could be John Higgins, Ding Junhui, or Ayman Al-Amri.
Allen believes that the organization of tournaments in this country has significant shortcomings. He noted:
“The atmosphere at these events is not at all what it should be for a major sporting tournament.”
The snooker star hopes that the situation will improve and future tournaments will become more appealing to viewers.
The issue with the atmosphere at tournaments may impact the popularity of snooker in the region and the overall interest in these events. At the same time, Allen hopes that the organizers will take his remarks into account and make the competitions more memorable for the audience.
