Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles met with Ukrainian servicemen in Toledo
In Toledo, a city in Spain, Margarita Robles, the Spanish Minister of Defense, held a meeting with Ukrainian servicemen who are being trained within the framework of the European Union mission. According to the Spanish Ministry of Defense, Robles managed to emphasize the importance of Spain's solidarity and support for the Ukrainian people during this difficult time.
The minister stressed that Spain's military assistance to Ukraine is extremely important and the civilian population of Ukraine must know that they are not alone, there is support from their side. She also drew attention to the brutality of the war in Ukraine, especially the attacks on the civilian population, which violate the norms of international humanitarian law.
Robles also expressed her gratitude for the work done by Ukrainian and Spanish military personnel. According to her, since the autumn of 2022, Spain has trained over 5,000 servicemen, involving at least 2,500 Spanish instructors.
