Darts Title: Star James Wade Called His 5-0 Defeat Shameful.
Feeling Awkward After the Defeat
According to The Sun: Darts star James Wade felt incredibly 'awkward' after his heavy defeat to Gerwyn Price, so much so that he 'wanted to go home'.
Defeat at the Grand Slam of Darts
Wade, 42, suffered a serious 5-0 defeat to 40-year-old Price at the Grand Slam of Darts on Sunday. This was the first time 'The Machine' lost in the group stage since 2012, as he had previously also lost to Stefan Belmonte.
“I felt so awkward that I wanted to go home”
This defeat came as quite a surprise to fans, as James Wade was one of the favorites in the competition. The group stage leaves only one chance to win, so the loss is a serious blow to his plans for further participation in the tournament.
Gerwyn Price, in turn, demonstrated excellent play, confirming his status as one of the strongest players in the world of darts. One can only hope that Wade can recover from this disappointing performance and return to competition in upcoming tournaments.
