Sad failure of Jamaican footballers
The head coach of the Jamaican national team, Steve McClaren, was criticized after his team failed to qualify for the World Cup. The Jamaican team, known as the Reggae Boyz, needed to win their last group match against Curacao but ended the game in a goalless draw.“This situation is a disappointment for all of us,”- noted the president of the Jamaican Football Federation.After the disappointing result, McClaren decided to leave his position as coach.Jamaica's refusal to participate in the World Cup was a real blow to the team and its fans. The performances under McClaren did not meet expectations, and now the football federation will have to look for new ways to develop the team in order to regain former glory and achieve desired success on the international stage.
