Anthony Joshua vs Jake Paul: fight not allowed in Britain.
The head of the British Boxing Board expressed dissatisfaction with the possible fight between Joshua and Paul
According to The Sun: The secretary of the British Boxing Board, Robert Smith, reacted sharply to discussions about a possible fight between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul. He emphasized that he does not consider the idea realistic: the two-time heavyweight champion is unlikely to fight with a YouTuber who has become a boxer in the British market.
On the podcast 'Sports Agents', Smith explained that there were no official negotiations on this matter and believes that this prospect is unfounded:
“I can't imagine him (Joshua) boxing with Paul.'
As a representative of the boxing board, Smith expressed concerns that such fights may divert attention from traditional boxing and reduce its prestige. In a situation where the sport is undergoing significant transformations, the opinions of such experts play a significant role in shaping the future of boxing in Great Britain.
