Jake Quickenden shared details about his recovery after the third hair transplant

According to The Sun: Jake Quickenden, reality star, talked about his experience after his third hair transplant in a new heartfelt video.

Instagram

The 37-year-old Jake reassured fans that the procedure was painless but referred to the anesthesia injections as 'the closest thing to childbirth that a man can experience'.

He noted:

“They are unbearably painful, but it lasts only five minutes, then your head goes numb.”

In the video, Jake shows his shaved head, focusing on the area where 1,700 grafts were transplanted. He admitted that he was constantly worried about the thinning of his hair before the procedure.

Jake explained that his first transplant at KSL Clinic aimed to restore his hairline, the second to close a scar on his scalp, and the third to cover the back of his head after the previous transplant. He added:

“I’m so glad I did it. It’s quite quick and simple. I was only there for six and a half hours.”

Jake's followers on Instagram had mixed opinions about his hair: one noted that it looks fine. Jake replied:

“It might look fine to you, but not to me. Constantly adding hair fibers and worrying about rain and wind made me want to do this.”

Post-transplant recovery plan

Jake shared his recovery plan, stating that he cannot go to the gym for two weeks, cannot wash his hair for five days, and must sleep sitting up for ten days.

Jake deserves a break after a hectic year that included participating in endurance competitions.

He participated in Yukon1000, the longest survival racing competition in the world. Despite careful planning and preparation, Jake and his teammate Matt were forced to withdraw from the competition due to a series of unfortunate events, including a hand injury.

At that time, he said:

“So upset…”

“Everything started well, I got into trouble, started again and got into trouble again! Sometimes you need to remember that you have kids, and it’s better not to push it when luck is not on your side.”
