Famous jockey James Doyle will miss the Ebor Festival due to a viral infection.
According to The Sun: Top jockey James Doyle has been ruled out of all his remaining rides at York Racecourse immediately.
This means he will not be able to participate in a potential £300,000 prize this Saturday at Ebor.
'I fell ill during the race on Wednesday, underwent tests on Thursday, and was diagnosed with a viral illness.
I was prescribed antibiotics and advised to rest for a few days.
I am very disappointed to be missing important rides, but I wish the team all the best and look forward to returning to action soon,' Doyle wrote.
The new jockey for the favorite French Master at Ebor will be Rab Havlin.
Doyle is also missing the ride on Night Raider - the Nap Templegate in Friday's Group 1 Nunthorpe.
Danny Tudhope, who won in the Sir Henry Cecil Galltress Stakes on Charlotte Tye on Thursday and finished second in the Yorkshire Oaks on Estranja, is now taking the ride on Night Raider.
And Ross Ryan is replacing Doyle on El Nayir in the Lonsdale Cup.
After top jockey James Doyle was ruled out of all his unfinished rides at York Racecourse due to a viral illness, new jockeys have been appointed to participate in important rides at Ebor and other competitions. We hope for a speedy recovery for Doyle and a successful return to his beloved sport.Read also
