The End of Kamaliya and Mohammad Zahur’s Marriage

According to Glamurchik — Шоу-біз: Singer Kamaliya has opened up about the reasons behind her divorce from Mohammad Zahur following two decades together. She cited psychological trauma stemming from the war and a strained relationship with Zahur’s daughter, Tetyana, as the main factors behind their breakup. Kamaliya relocated to London to join Zahur in 2022, but returned to Kyiv just a few months later in June of that same year.

Describing the difficulties in their relationship, Kamaliya recalled a specific incident during New Year’s celebrations in Truskavets that became the final straw. She emphasized that ongoing conflicts with Tetyana, Zahur’s daughter, had also severely damaged the family dynamic.

“Two mistresses in the kitchen—there were constant intrigues, and I was always being blamed for something,” Kamaliya said.

Mohammad Zahur, for his part, reportedly responded:

“What do you want? What are you trying to achieve? For me to abandon Tanya? I’d rather divorce you than leave Tanya.”
This remark highlights how deeply divided the couple had become over their views on family loyalty and relationships.

Despite the divorce, Kamaliya continues to receive a monthly sum from the business she co-owned with Zahur.

“I get a certain percentage deposited into my account from Zahur every month. That’s all,”
she explained, noting that financial ties remain a significant part of their post-divorce relationship.

Social Realities and Financial Implications

Kamaliya and Mohammad Zahur’s story illustrates the complex emotional and financial dimensions of a divorce that unfolded after two decades of marriage.

Their separation reflects not just personal struggles, but also broader social challenges many in Ukraine are facing due to the ongoing war. Psychological trauma and family conflict have become part of everyday life, often putting additional strain on relationships. At the same time, financial arrangements tied to shared business ventures remain relevant even after a split, underscoring the multifaceted nature of modern family dynamics.
