An American won 1 million dollars in the lottery: at first, he couldn't even believe it himself

According to ТСН: A resident of Idaho, who has been playing the lottery for a long time, got a real surprise. While resting at a gas station, he decided to check a few lottery tickets left in his truck and discovered that one of them was a winner.

Shawn Klingler from Rigby initially couldn't believe his luck:

“I had eight tickets, and when the cashier checked them, she said I won 100,000 dollars,”
he recalls. The man first thought that the cashier had simply made a mistake — instead of a million, he had only won one hundred dollars.

However, the cashier checked the ticket again and confirmed that the numbers were indeed impressive:

“She says: 'No, I was wrong – you won 1,000,000 dollars!'”
Shawn compared that moment to a situation when luck suddenly turns positive.

After the win was confirmed, he called his wife and daughter on speakerphone since they also initially couldn't believe it.

“We called a few more relatives. No one believed right away. Everyone thought I was joking. It took everyone in the store to confirm,”
he added.

Shawn went with his family to the lottery office to collect his prize. He noted that he plans to handle the winnings responsibly: pay off debts, buy his wife a new car, and save the rest for retirement.

“I've been playing the lottery for a very long time. You dream of winning, and when it finally happens, it's an incredible feeling,”
Shawn said.

This story serves as a bright example of how an ordinary day can unexpectedly turn into a significant change in life. Winning the lottery is often associated with dreams and hopes, but it is important to remember that responsible money management and budget planning can significantly impact the winner's future. Shawn plans to use his winnings to improve not only his life but also that of his family.
