According to inkorr.com: Bohdan Maliych is a graduate of SDYUSSHOR-5 from Dnipro. In 2022, he moved to Latvia, where he played last season for the team of the Bertans brothers in Valmiera.

Bohdan has already gained popularity among Ukrainian fans — together with his future teammates at Kyiv-Basket Yegor Sushkin and Bohdan Bur, he finished fourth at the 3x3 World Championship among U-18 in 2024.
