Popular TV Series 'Kyiv Day and Night' Gets a Movie Sequel
According to Novyny.live: The beloved series 'Kyiv Day and Night', which captivated audiences a decade after its initial broadcast, is being revived as a full-length comedy film titled 'Kyiv. Day-Night'. The movie's premiere is scheduled for late 2026, generating excitement among fans of the original show. This move highlights the enduring popularity of Ukrainian television content and its successful transition to the big screen.
Studio 'Kyivfilm' is collaborating with 'MarkerMedia' to produce 'Kyiv. Day-Night'. Filming is planned to commence in the summer of 2026. Distribution will be handled by Green Light Films, ensuring the new movie reaches a wide audience.
The Production Team
Andriy Burlaka will direct the project, with the screenplay written by Vlad Baidun. The cinematographer will be Serhiy Revutskyi. Yevhen Taller, a member of the production team, noted:
"We began work on the script back in the summer of 2025."
