Kyivstar to Discontinue 'Speed Up' Plan, Unveils Three New Options.
'Speed Up' Plan to be Phased Out
According to Novyny.live: Mobile operator Kyivstar has announced it will retire its 'Speed Up' tariff plan starting March 2, 2026. The company will replace this single offering with three new plans. The current 'Speed Up' plan costs 350 UAH per month, providing internet speeds of up to 100 Mbps with an option to increase to 1 Gbps. Kyivstar has confirmed that existing customers on this plan will see no changes to their terms.
After March 2, 2026, new customers will no longer be able to subscribe to the 'Speed Up' plan. Instead, they will be offered a choice from three new tariffs. The plans for residents of apartment buildings will have the following names and conditions:
- 'Get Started' - priced at 100 UAH per month, with speeds up to 50 Mbps;
- 'Scale Up' - priced at 295 UAH per month, with speeds up to 100 Mbps;
- 'Speed Up' - priced at 350 UAH per month, with speeds up to 100 Mbps or 1 Gb.
Furthermore, Kyivstar is offering new subscribers a 40% or 50% discount for the first year of service on two of the new tariff plans. The cost of connecting a fiber-optic line ranges from 600 UAH to 7,000 UAH per month. These tariff changes are scheduled to take effect from March 1, 2026.
'If you are currently using the 'Speed Up' plan, its terms will remain unchanged for you. New customers will not be able to subscribe to this plan from March 2, 2026,' a representative of Kyivstar
The discontinuation of the 'Speed Up' plan is part of Kyivstar's strategy to refresh its service offerings and improve options for new customers. This move is typical in the competitive telecom sector, where operators regularly adjust plans to match evolving consumer demand and technology. The introduction of three new plans with different price points and internet speeds is designed to better cater to diverse user needs. Crucially, the company is maintaining the terms for existing users, ensuring stability for its current subscriber base.
