The Chinese probe, designed to search for water at the Moon's South Pole, is preparing for launch. It will consist of devices capable of analyzing water molecules. This will reduce the cost and time of delivering water to the Moon, as well as study the possibility of life existing. The probe will have the ability to cover large distances through jumps and explore hard-to-reach locations and craters.
The Chinese moon exploration program, known as Chang'e-7, has several phases, including orbiting Earth and landing on the Moon. In 2007, China already launched the lunar satellite Chang'e-7.
