Accusations against the artistic director of sexual harassment discussed at the Young Theater

Meetings were held at the Young Theater, during which accusations against artistic director Andriy Bilous of sexual harassment were discussed. Actors were asked whether they had negative experiences communicating with the director. Those employees who stated they had been victims expressed their position in a video statement:

They exhausted me, made me recall, to look into the ugly eyes. I don't know how to take it. But we must. I have no strength, I am overwhelmed. Every Time I look at those gathered, my blood aches.

Today, part of the Young Theater's employees addressed the Kyiv City State Administration with a collective statement for the removal of Andriy Bilous from the position of director-artistic director during the investigation. Actor Illia Choporov and actress Viktoriia Romashko published a post supporting this demand, calling it 'Young. No more silence'. They urge for an objective investigation into this matter and raise accusations against Andriy Bilous.

Olena Uzliuk, an actress of theater, cinema, and dubbing, expressed her support for her colleagues who bravely spoke about the difficult situations they had to face. Actress Irma Vitovska also shared her thoughts on the scandal, noting that silence and keeping a job in conflict with conscience is unacceptable.

Let us remind you that one of the girls, who remains anonymous, accused Andriy Bilous of sexual harassment. She claims that the director sent her photos of the intimate parts of other students and asked her to do the same. Regarding these accusations, employees of the educational institution contacted the police, and Andriy Bilous was suspended from work.
