Marta Kostyuk lost to Sabalenka at the tournament in Rome
Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk was defeated by Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka at the WTA 1000 tournament in Rome. The first set was lost by the Ukrainian in 31 minutes with a score of 1:6.
In the second set, the game lasted over 90 minutes and was decided by a tiebreak. Although Kostyuk did not take the opportunity to secure victory, saving two match points, Sabalenka eventually managed to win the set and the match with a score of 7:6.
Let us remind you that Sabalenka has repeatedly held meetings with Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko and even signed a letter in his support.

Kudermetova's reaction to the conflict between Ukraine and Russia
Russian tennis player Polina Kudermetova also came under scrutiny after posting symbols of aggression against Ukraine. On May 9, she posted an image of Russian military symbolism, namely the St. George ribbon, which has become a symbol of Russian aggression against Ukraine, in the Stories of her Instagram profile.
As previously reported, the 'neutral' Russian tennis player posted on Instagram a symbol of aggression against Ukraine - the St. George ribbon.
Support for unlawful actions and symbols of aggression are quite controversial in the sports world, and the actions of the tennis players may provoke discussion in society.
