This Friday, April 11, the champion of Ukraine in hockey for the 2024/25 season has been determined in a match between 'Kremenchuk' and 'Kyiv Capitals'. This is reported by 'Glavcom'.
The match took place at the 'Shalett' arena in Kyiv, where in the overtime of the last, seventh match, 'Kremenchuk' secured victory with a score of 2:1. Bohdan Serednytskyi became the hero of the team and brought them the title.
This is the first title for HK 'Kremenchuk' since 2020 and the second overall in the club's history. Over the past three seasons, the team from Poltava region had lost in the title matches to 'Sokol'.
In addition, the Ukrainian women's team MSC 'Sumchanka' became the champion of Europe in indoor hockey (a variant of field hockey played indoors).
The 'Women's EuroHockey Indoor Club Cup 2025' took place in the Lithuanian city of Šiauliai from February 14 to 16.
Also, the Ukrainian national hockey team won the bronze medal at the Universiade on January 22.
In the match for third place, our team sensationally defeated the USA team with a score of 5:3. It is worth noting that in the group stage, the Americans had defeated Ukraine with a score of 5:1.
