The Kremlin responds to statements about strikes on Russia: what Peskov said.
According to inkorr.com: Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that the Russian authorities are carefully monitoring the statements of retired Lieutenant General Keith Kellogg, who speaks of possible strikes on Russia. He emphasized that Moscow takes these comments seriously.
'We have indeed heard these statements, we are analyzing them carefully,' said the Kremlin spokesman.
Peskov also added that military experts are involved in this analysis to assess potential threats. He posed rhetorical questions about the participation of the United States in possible strikes.
'Who can launch these missiles, even if they are targeting the territory of the Kyiv regime? Can they only be launched by Ukrainians, or should it be done by American military? Who is giving the commands to these missiles? The American side or the Ukrainians themselves?' he asked.
Peskov stressed the importance of detailed analysis for formulating an official position and possible responses. When asked about the potential Russian reaction to the supply of American missiles to Ukraine, he avoided a direct answer.
'Well, let's first formulate a position, understand the potential threats... And then we can determine our response, even if it happens,' he said.
Furthermore, he tried to downplay the significance of potential new weapon supplies, reiterating Kremlin narratives about the absence of 'wonder-weapons.'
'There is no panacea that can change the situation on the front lines for the Kyiv regime. There is no magic weapon. Whether it is 'Tomahawks' or other missiles, they will not change the dynamics,' he concluded.
Thus, the Russian authorities are cautiously analyzing potential threats from strikes on their territory by the United States. They are also actively preparing for possible reactions to the situation's development to protect their country.
