Kursk operation and breakthrough of the border in Sumy region: main news of the night.
The Ukrainian forces are actively moving forward in Kursk, where there were attempts by sabotage groups to penetrate through the border of the Sumy region. However, the Sumy Regional Military Administration denied the incident, stating that they destroyed separate Russian sabotage groups that had invaded Ukrainian territory. There has also been a significant increase in shelling compared to last year.
The Ukrainian forces continue to successfully advance in Kursk, but the Russians fear that this could be a diversionary operation. Data shows that the Ukrainian defense forces are making progress, but the enemy is also moving in some areas.
A tragedy occurred at a psycho-neurological boarding school in Pivdenne, Kharkiv region. One person died from burns sustained in a fire, while another four injured were hospitalized with carbon monoxide poisoning and burns. The condition of one of the injured is moderate.
Ukrainian authorities have also registered 13 cases of metapneumovirus, which is rapidly spreading in China. This disease can cause respiratory illnesses, especially in children and people with weakened immune systems.
