The 'Kvartal 95' studio published an announcement for the New Year show, in which the Ukrainian Crimea was not displayed on the map of Ukraine. Soon the video was modified to make Crimea visible to everyone.

Initially, the announcement was published on the official 'Kvartal 95' page on Instagram, but was later deleted. In the video, Russia's place on the map was replaced with 'Ocean of Dreams'. But along with Russia, the Ukrainian Crimea also disappeared.

Today, December 16, a new video was published on the studio's official Instagram page, in which the contrast was increased to make Crimea visible to everyone.

'We are not ophthalmologists, but there is a difference between 'almost invisible' and 'not there,' just as there is a difference between opinion leaders and those who seek betrayal,' reacted 'Kvartal 95'.

Earlier in Ukraine, school textbooks for the 7th grade had a map of Ukraine without Crimea. The mistake was noticed in both the electronic and printed versions of the Ukrainian language textbook. The Ministry of Education and Science reacted to this scandal. The head of the school education directorate of the Ministry of Education, Ihor Khvorostianyi, explained that this happened due to a designer's mistake. The electronic version has already been corrected, but the printed copies still have the incorrect map. The co-author of the textbook, Anastasiia Onatiy, urged teachers and students to correct the map by adding Crimea manually. The Ministry of Education of Ukraine acknowledged the problem and announced work on a correction, but did not specify what steps would be taken for the printed versions.

In 2023, the European Parliament published a post on social media X with a map of trade agreements between the EU and various countries. The map depicted Ukraine without Crimea and other occupied territories. This publication outraged Ukrainians, who suggested monitoring the author's connections with the Kremlin and calling for their dismissal. After that, the European Parliament account publicly apologized.
