Legendary pie from the village of Vysneve - it requires cheese and cherries.


In every piece of this pie, you will find the taste of summer and childhood. The combination of delicate cheese, aromatic zest, and sweet-sour cherries makes it special, reminiscent of the pastries that grandmothers used to bake in the villages with fresh cherries.

Ingredients:
- flour - 400 g;
- baking powder - 1 packet;
- sugar - 200 g;
- soft butter - 200 g;
- sour cream - 1 tbsp;
- yolks - 4 pcs.
For the cheese filling:
- cottage cheese - 1 kg;
- sugar - 250 g;
- whites - 4 pcs.;
- vanilla sugar - 2 packets;
- lemon zest - from 1 pc.;
- semolina - 3 tbsp.
For the cherry filling:
- pitted cherries - 500 g;
- sugar - 100 g;
- starch - 2 tbsp.
Cooking method
Mix the dough from flour, baking powder, sugar, butter, sour cream, and yolks - first with a mixer, then by hand. Divide the dough into two parts.
For the cheese filling, beat the cheese with sugar, whites, vanilla sugar, add lemon zest and semolina. Mix until smooth.
Line a round mold with parchment, spread a larger portion of the dough, create borders, sprinkle the bottom with semolina. Layer the cheese filling, then cherries with sugar.
Roll out the remaining dough, cut out shapes or circles, and decorate the top of the pie. Bake at 180 °C for about 50 minutes, dust with powdered sugar.
