Oleg Doroshchuk explained that a knee injury will not allow him to participate in the competitions in Monaco. He noted that his knee had been bothering him for some time, but he had not paid attention to it. After feeling discomfort during training at the Diamond League stage in Rome, he realized that he needed to take his health more seriously.
The athlete plans to return for the Ukrainian championship and is preparing for the World Championship 2025. He has withdrawn from participation in other competitions, such as Ostrava and the European Team Championship, as medical staff advised him not to take risks and to recover better, so he can return with renewed strength.
