Champions League: UEFA Picks Player of the Week.
UEFA has determined the Player of the Week in the Champions League - it's Declan Rice, midfielder of Arsenal. This award was also contested by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from PSG, Robert Lewandowski from Barcelona, and Alessandro Bastoni from Inter.
In the first match of the quarter-finals against Real, Rice made history by scoring two goals directly from free kicks, which is unique in the Champions League. Similar records were only set by Rivaldo, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, and Hakim Ziyech, but they achieved this during the group stage of the competition.
The next match between Real and Arsenal will take place on April 16 in Madrid. On the second day of the quarter-finals, matches 'Barcelona' - 'Borussia' (result 4:0) and 'PSG' - 'Aston Villa' (result 3:1) also took place. The second leg of the quarter-finals is scheduled for April 15 and 16.
