From July 1, the new visa rules will apply specifically for Belarusians. It concerns a number of countries that are not members of the European Union and can submit documents for a national visa outside Lithuania only through special service providers. However, such a provider will be determined by the Migration Department of the Lithuanian Ministry of the Interior.
Previously, this was handled by Lithuania's diplomatic missions or, if possible, visa centers. They had to undergo special certification. Already on April 4 this year, Lithuania passed a law that restricted the visa rights of certain citizens. For example, Belarusians. They will find it more difficult not only to get to Lithuania but also to buy property there.
