New visa-free regime conditions in the EU.
Entry to the EU may become paid for Ukrainians from 2024
According to the new rules, a visa to Europe for Ukrainians may become paid from 2024. This applies to countries that are not EU members.
The special tax for entry into the EU is called ETIAS. EU countries must obtain this special permit for traveling in Europe. Without such a permit, traveling in the EU will not be possible.
The permit will be valid for 3 years or until the passport expires
The validity of the permit is 3 years or until the passport expires. Starting from 2024, the cost of the permit will be 7 euros per person.
Depending on the manufacturer, type, and characteristics, as of today, a passport in Ukraine costs from 450 to 600 hryvnias. Ukrainians planning to travel to Europe should take this expense into account in their plans.
