Former Lviv official who refused to stand during anthem will sue.
Former official of the Lviv Regional Military Administration Lidiya Danko will sue volunteer Lesia Menkush-Malkiv, who published a video of her on social networks. In the footage, Danko shows the middle finger, refusing to stand during the performance of the anthem. The woman informed the publication Zaxid.net about her intentions to sue.
According to Lidiya Danko, she will go to court for the dissemination of personal data and defamation of honor and dignity. The woman shared her version of events, noting that at that moment she was corresponding on work matters on her phone.
Danko added that one of the participants of the event in support of Ukrainian prisoners and the missing in action sat next to her on a bench in a park. Then other women approached them, one of whom rudely grabbed her by the backpack, and when Lidiya asked her not to do so, she was called a brute.
After some Time, one of the women began looking into her phone with the correspondence, and when Danko asked her to stop, she was called a separatist. According to Lidiya Danko, this lasted about half an hour, but she couldn't leave because she had to finish her correspondence.
She also stated that she would have stood up if she had managed to finish her business during the performance of the Ukrainian anthem.
But later I was not given a chance to do this, I was pressured, a phone was pushed into my face. I was pushed and shaken. This gesture (middle finger – ed.) was addressed to a specific lady who had been applying psychological pressure on me for a long time – the woman explained.
Additionally, Lidiya Danko stated that she did not try to escape from the police and communicated with law enforcement officers at the entrance to the Lviv Regional Council. She also claims that she showed no disrespect to the national symbols of the state.
Recall that in Lviv, a woman refused to stand during the national anthem. She worked at the Lviv Regional Military Administration, from where she was dismissed after the video was published.

The author of the video notes that at this time, an event was taking place in support of Ukrainian prisoners and the missing in action. The woman in the video that was shared online was sitting on a bench and did not stand up. She did not do so even when asked.
