Mark Williams withdrew from the snooker championship due to a severe infection.
According to The Sun: Mark Williams was forced to withdraw from the international snooker championship due to illness. The Welsh snooker player reported that he was struck by a 'respiratory infection' the day before the tournament. Williams had already missed last week's Northern Ireland Open in Belfast to take a break from the game.
“I feel that this is the right decision for me,” said Williams.
Playing at a high level in such a condition would be quite difficult for him. He is currently planning to recover and return to competition soon.
Williams' absence from tournaments creates a certain gap in the competitive environment as he is one of the strongest players in the world. We hope that the athlete will be able to recover soon and return to competition as his play always brings joy to the fans.
