The Cultural Descent Presented the Clip 'Under the Bakhmut Rain' for the Day of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
On the occasion of the Day of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Cultural Descent released a video clip for the song 'Under the Bakhmut Rain', which celebrates the courage and resilience of Ukrainian paratroopers.
This video is a manifesto of a true Ukrainian paratrooper, meant to support themselves and their comrades. The warriors continue to defend the country, relying on values such as family, love for the homeland, and the memory of their fallen brothers.
The video features a paratrooper who participated in battles near Bakhmut and other frontline areas. Currently, he is an instructor at the 199th Training Center of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Other soldiers who became heroes of the clip also actively serve with combat experience.
The song's lyrics were written by Mykhailo Shelepeten and Mykolai Sierha, a volunteer and a captain of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, respectively. This song is a cover version of the song by Daryna Krasnovecka titled 'Under the Vinnytsia Rain', which became popular in 2023. One of the authors, Mykhailo Shelepeten, previously recorded cover versions of popular songs to raise funds for drones for the airborne assault troops.
The Cultural Descent is an association of servicemen who have creative and artistic professions and actively work to improve the moral and psychological state of the military using cultural tools. They conduct numerous performances for the Defense Forces and provide them with literature and opportunities to record music at the front.
The Cultural Descent launched the 'Books for the Front' project, which provides fighters with the necessary literature in combat zones, and the 'Front Studio' - a mobile music recording studio. To date, they have recorded 14 songs created by the servicemen themselves.
The Ukrainian collective Cultural Descent previously released the song 'Belgorod', which ironically mocked the Russians. This composition became known in the chanson genre, and its authors urge the residents of Belgorod not to be afraid, as freedom will soon come.
