Massive shelling on Christmas: Kuleba spoke about how many Ukrainians have returned to heat.
Heat supply has been restored in some regions of Ukraine after the rocket attack
Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba announced the restoration of heat supply after the enemy rocket attack on December 25. Heat has already been restored for almost 400 thousand subscribers in Kharkiv region, as well as half of the buildings in the city of Dnipro and Dnipropetrovsk region.
Work continues to restore heating in three communities of Kharkiv region. Connection of 81 houses in Ivano-Frankivsk region is expected by the end of the day.
“There are also heating problems in the city of Kherson due to constant shelling. Specialists are working to restore heating as quickly as possible despite the risks. Currently, 44 high-rise buildings are without heat,” wrote Kuleba.
It should be reminded that the Russian army inflicted massive shelling on Ukraine's energy system. Various regions were affected, including Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Poltava, and Ivano-Frankivsk. The main goal of the attack was to deprive Ukrainians of heat, water, and electricity.
As a result of the rocket attack by the Russian Federation on energy facilities in Dnipropetrovsk region, one person died.
Restoration of heating continues in other regions, but problems with paying for heat supply are already being felt in Kyiv. In November 2024, bills increased by 6.5% compared to last year.
