The President appointed Oleksandr Vodyannikov as a judge of the Constitutional Court
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Oleksandr Vodyannikov as a judge of the Constitutional Court, as stated in the official decree No. 438 dated June 27. The lawyer has many years of experience, including working as an advisor to the OSCE in Ukraine.
Oleksandr Vodyannikov has a successful career in international law. He graduated from the Institute of International Relations at Taras Shevchenko National University and the Central European University in Budapest, as well as defended his candidate dissertation at the V.M. Koretsky Institute of State and Law of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
While working on OSCE international projects and the Justice Reform Support Program in Ukraine, Oleksandr Vodyannikov dealt with issues of conflicts, the rule of law, and human rights protection, making him a competent candidate for the position of judge of the Constitutional Court.
After Oleksandr Vodyannikov's appointment as a judge of the Constitutional Court, it can be expected that his experience in international law and human rights protection will contribute to addressing important constitutional issues in Ukraine.Read also
