Milan has acquired a global football superstar, Romano confirmed.
After a legendary 13-year career with Real Madrid, midfielder Luka Modric has joined Milan. The veteran of European football joined on a free transfer and signed a one-year contract until June 2026. This information was confirmed by coach Massimiliano Allegri and journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Luka Modric ended his career at Real after the team's exit in the semifinals of the Club World Cup against PSG (0:4). He has joined Milan, where he will play a key role in the team's strategy. Coach Allegri emphasized the importance of Modric's presence and experience for the club's return to a high European level.
The agreement for the transfer was reached back in June, and the final procedures — medical examination and contract signing — are currently being carried out and are expected to be completed by the end of July.
Luka Modric joined Milan after a long career at Real, where he led the playing strategy. Now he is preparing for a new phase in his career, where he intends to provide his new team with confidence and experience to achieve high results.
