Pilot Program for Online Military Registration

According to TSN.ua: The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has launched a pilot program for online military registration via the 'Reserve+' application, targeting men aged 18 to 24. The testing phase began on January 16 and is open to men who have not previously been registered for military service. This initiative is part of a broader effort to modernize state services during a period of national mobilization.

To participate in the test, individuals must complete a form via a provided link. The Defense Ministry states that this new approach eliminates the need for in-person visits to Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers (TRSSCs) and reduces paper-based procedures, as the entire process is conducted remotely through the app.

Advantages of the Online System

Furthermore, the Ministry emphasizes that online registration cuts bureaucracy and reduces the administrative burden on TRSSCs. This, in turn, makes the system more transparent and easier for citizens to understand. As part of the traditional process, a TRSSC also mailed a paper summons, highlighting the parallel testing of old and new methods.

This innovative approach to military registration via an online application could significantly streamline procedures for young men registering for the first time. It aims to reduce queues and increase service accessibility, particularly when physical visits to government offices may be difficult. If successfully implemented, such a system could form the foundation for further digitalization of public services in Ukraine.
