Hero of Ukraine Shiryayev on peace with Russia: It is a strong army and guarantees from allies.

According to ТСН: This was stated in an interview by the commander of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment, Hero of Ukraine Oleg Shiryayev.

Discussing international negotiations to end the war between Russia and Ukraine, he emphasized that he would follow the decisions of the military-political leadership.

“I also understand perfectly that Ukraine's strong negotiating position directly depends on the effectiveness on the battlefield. That is what I am engaged in,” Shiryayev noted.

The commander emphasized that the Russians have behaved the same way for centuries, seizing territories, destroying churches, and killing people.

“Let's recall the events of the last century. The III Universal proclaims the creation of the UPR, and Russia begins its invasion, seizing Kharkiv, creating a puppet government. With the IV Universal, the UPR declares independence, and immediately the army of Muravyov attacks Kyiv. During the red terror, over 5 thousand civilian Kyivites were exterminated,” the commander of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment reminded.

In his opinion, if hostilities stop or any agreement is reached, Russia will not abandon its attempts to destroy or assimilate Ukrainians.

“Therefore, peace means strong Armed Forces of Ukraine, a developed military industry and economy, as well as security guarantees from our allies. In the long term – demilitarization of Russia under the control of international partners, as was the case with Nazi Germany,” he summarized.

In addition, the servicemen of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment, who are operating in the Huliaipole direction, received a new batch of equipment from the Zaporizhzhia regional military administration worth over 16 million hryvnias.
