MMA Star Calls for Martial Arts to be Introduced in British Schools to Combat Knife Crime.
Muhammad Mokaev Calls for the Implementation of Martial Arts in Schools
MMA star Muhammad Mokaev has urged the UK government to introduce martial arts in educational institutions to combat violence, particularly Knife Crime. Mokaev, who emigrated from Russia to England in 2012 at the age of 12, learned English from scratch.According to The Sun: With experience training in freestyle wrestling in Dagestan, Mokaev joined MMA gyms to refine his skills. He believes that martial arts can be an effective way to teach youth important aspects: self-defense and discipline.
“Martial arts can teach kids respect, discipline, and how to avoid conflicts,” Mokaev said.
The athlete is convinced that training in martial arts can help young people better cope with life's challenges and avoid dangerous situations.
Given the rise of violence among youth, Mokaev's initiative has gained particular relevance. The introduction of martial arts in schools could not only reduce occurrences of violence but also help instill values of respect and self-control in young people. This could improve the atmosphere in educational institutions and cultivate a more conscious generation.
