Moldova prepares a reintegration plan for Transnistria: what Chisinau proposed.
Moldova prepares a reintegration plan for Transnistria
According to Novyny.live: The Vice Prime Minister of Moldova, Valeriu Chiver, announced the possibility of supporting Transnistria provided that Tiraspol agrees to the reintegration plan of the Republic of Moldova. This plan aims to bring stability and development to the region and also includes the gradual expansion of Moldova's constitutional space over the entire territory of the country.
The mentioned reintegration plan includes a series of measures that will facilitate the integration of Transnistria into Moldova. Valeriu Chiver emphasized that Tiraspol must agree to this proposal, which encompasses not only legal but also socio-economic aspects that can ensure stability, security, and development for the region.
Situation in the region
It is worth noting that a state of emergency has already been introduced in Transnistria, which will last until the beginning of 2025. This decision may be part of the preparation for possible changes in the status of the region in the context of the reintegration plan. The situation remains complicated, however, Chisinau hopes for constructive dialogue with Tiraspol to reach mutually acceptable solutions.
The reintegration plan for Transnistria from Moldova could become an important step in restoring the territorial integrity of the country and improving the socio-economic situation in the region. In a context where Transnistria has declared a state of emergency, the implementation of such initiatives could be perceived as Chisinau's attempt to address existing issues and improve relations with the population of the region. Dialogue between the parties will remain a key factor in achieving the success of this strategy.
