The youth national team of Ukraine in volleyball has reached the playoff stage of the World Championship for the first time in history.
According to inkorr.com: The youth national team of Ukraine achieved a confident victory in the last match of the group stage of the World Championship 2025 in volleyball, defeating the team of Tunisia with a score of 0:3. This secured the Ukrainian athletes a place in the top four teams of the tournament.
The winning streak began with two successes against Argentina (3:1) and Indonesia (3:2), and the final match also turned out to be successful.
The achieved victory
In the first set, the Ukrainians demonstrated their class, winning by 12 points (25:13). The second set ended with an advantage of 8 points (25:18), and the third set also remained with the Ukrainians, with a score of 20:25.
Maxim Tonkonog became the most productive player of the match, scoring 12 points, aided by Mykola Kuts and Oleksandr Boiko, who also impressed the statistics, each scoring 10 points.
