US President Donald Trump announced that he has reached a principled agreement with Ukraine regarding access to the country's rare earth resources in exchange for American military aid. He stated this in a television interview.
Trump noted that Ukraine has valuable land with a lot of oil, gas, and other natural resources. Considering the significant US investments in supporting Ukraine during the Russian invasion, Trump emphasizes the necessity of protecting American financial interests.
'I just told them: 'I want the equivalent of about 500 billion dollars in rare earth resources.' And they generally agreed,' Trump stated.
